While the B-406SM neck-thru-body 6-string bass offers plenty of opportunity to explore the musical depths associated with the2 extra strings, it's all-natural spalted maple top (over swamp ash body) makes it an easy choice for adding to your guitar collection. The 5-piece neck is made of maple and walnut with a rosewood fingerboard which, combined with the body wood gives you a blend of soft and hard woods for a unique sound that is overall bright and poppy with an infusion of some warmth not usually associated with maple or walnut woods. The 35" scale ESP bass has a double cutaway design, more extreme on the lower horn side, and features EMG a 450DC bridge pickup and EMG 45P6 active active pickup. It also has an EMG B64 3-band active EQ to help contour your sound. The B-406SM also comes with a DB-6 bridge, 24 XJ frets, a 54mm standard nut, dot inlays, Grover tuners, and black nickel hardware.
